Personally, before opening a food delivery service in 2013, I worked as a sales representative and sold heavy special equipment. For example, the brand of technology that I was promoting on the market was new, and therefore I had to devote a lot of time to advertising and marketing. When I was choosing a niche, I decided to go the following way. I asked myself a question: what unresolved problem exists in my native Khabarovsk? At the beginning of 2013, when I was just starting to launch this project, I was surprised by the response we received from restaurants. Nine out of ten agreed to work with us. How to be different from others

I understand that if I had made “another delivery service,” nothing would have worked out for me. Business is not a story about a machine that can reproduce endlessly successful concepts. It was necessary to find your difference. One of our main differences is that we work with a wide range of establishments. The client will not have to choose between two pizzerias if he wants kebab from a specific cafe, which is located on a specific street.

We have also introduced a unique feature - prefabricated ordering. That is, our courier can easily deliver an order from several establishments at once. Relevant when you want a cake from a pastry shop, pizza from your favorite pizzeria and even shawarma. Soon we will enable delivery from stores, and the client will be able to order not only food, but also sports nutrition, animal food and even medicine.

We also decided to return from 2% to 5% of the amount of each order in the form of points (1 point = 1 ruble). These points can be used as a discount or exchange for gifts. People love rewards, you should come up with something in this vein so that customers remember you. For example, the next time someone orders food, they will remember: “Oh, I have 200 bonuses on Let's Order,” and this little thing will influence the final decision.

If we talk about couriers, then in the payment approach it is important to find a middle ground when everyone benefits. We have developed a convenient model in which the courier receives part of the salary in the form of a daily paid exit (rate from 1000 rubles per day), the courier receives the rest of the salary at the end of the month based on the number of applications for which bonuses are awarded depending on the distance.

Fixed costs:

In the first months, it is enough to spend 10-15 thousand rubles on advertising to achieve a turnover of 500-700 thousand rubles;
- subsequently, it is enough to allocate 3,000 rubles per month for advertising, but more is better;
- you need to pay 490 rubles monthly to rent a room;
- outgoing communication costs average 4,000 rubles (1.85 rubles per minute);

Three rules for a man who made a million

Try it! Test your hypotheses. Mistakes are also a result. But test your ideas on small budgets. How I did it: I made a simple website using a website builder, created a commercial proposal and went looking for partners. I launched it, saw that applications were coming in, and began to develop further.
