Both the main and front cameras are excellent. good screen. good assembly - nothing creaks anywhere, the lid is tight. If you take all sorts of games and programs - it’s not even bad) everything works at the highest level.

A working device without any twists and turns, for affordable money, +loud + fast + assembled without any complaints

A good device, perhaps the best for its price. Everything just flies, the camera is excellent. It fits in your hand just right and doesn’t try to jump out. Completely satisfied

A very unfinished model in terms of software- there is no task manager, when someone calls you, a line with a contact and a small photo appears on the desktop. I have a Samsung s4 where the photo is displayed on the entire screen. You cannot swipe your finger over a contact in the phone book from left to right and thereby call it. Meager settings for the phone book and everything in general!

nothing special....except for the phone heating up under load (not significant for me), on the one hand - whoever's phone won't heat up under load)
I would like a larger battery, but this is quite enough (if I’m not mistaken, the battery is removable, I think you can install a larger battery...for example: 3000mAh)

Some problems with the software, it gets hot, it’s difficult to find accessories

    Processor, by.

It gets hot under heavy load. I would like the battery to be a little more capacious. Surface back cover Made of slippery plastic with a metal texture, it’s not very pleasant to hold.

The vibration is rather weak (not very critical, since most bodies are always visible, and the volume is decent)
-Sometimes graphic key locking slows down (does not immediately perceive touches)
-after the update, the Left page gadget appeared on the desktop, I don’t need it, but I don’t know how to remove it, I installed google start...
-the battery is rather weak (but I also use the device 100%), but usually there is always a place to recharge
-there are few settings, for example. I can’t make it so that when you turn on the screen, the key immediately appears and there is no unlock screen...
-every other time this happens: I receive a call (without floating contacts, the phone is lying on the table) and turn on the speakerphone. They can’t hear me, it’s like the microphone. disabled. turn it off and on again and everything works.

The most significant drawback is the battery, it lasts for half a day of not very active work. The charge simply melts before our eyes. Well, a not entirely significant drawback is the lack of accessories such as films and covers; the universal ones look poor and do not perform their functions. The only way out is to order from Ali.

I didn't find any serious shortcomings. It’s just not clear why there is a quick mode program that makes alternative desktops. This program does not turn off, as if it deletes the main theme. (roughly speaking, you have a different launcher and you cannot disable it) This launcher started and it became impossible to remove it. I did a factory reset and deleted quick mode without starting it.

    frame
and in particular the back cover is very liquid
    easily soiled screen
    fingerprints remain
It heats up under heavy load, but it’s not so critical compared to analogues for that kind of money (I don’t know what can be called an analogue phone with lte and 2 SIM cards and from a good manufacturer)
the weight is too small, at least for me 145
a slippery model can fly out and scatter in different directions due to the liquid body

Hi all!

I was stuck with my previous phone for 3.5 years. It became quite worn out, began to glitch, slow down, and the last straw was the lack of power and memory space to install the desired applications. In general, the old man is really behind the times. The question arose about purchasing a new phone.

The agony of choice.

I’m not too interested in iPhones (mainly because of the price); I assumed the “ceiling” price was 12-13 thousand rubles. For me, buying any equipment is an extremely important and serious matter. Therefore, I began to study the smartphone market in detail, took notes, read reviews, watched reviews, and compared.

Here's what I mainly wanted to see in my new smartphone:

  • Screen diagonal 4.5-5""
  • Android OS
  • Two cameras, both good (here the standard for me is the iPhone camera - not super quality, but the photos are very nice)
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 4G support
  • Battery capacity is about 2500 mAh at least
  • Well, so that it is powerful enough (there are all sorts of processors, cores)
  • I would like the case to be white

Everything turned out to be very complicated (of course, with such and such requests!). All the models I reviewed had flaws or did not meet one of my basic requirements. And once you get involved in negative reviews, the desire to buy disappears altogether.

By some miracle I noticed the Acer Liquid Z530. Despite the lower price than competitors, it has become my favorite! After thinking for a week, I finally decided - TAKE IT!

Purchase.

The release date of the smartphone is October 2015, and it appeared on the Russian market in November.

Until now, it can only be purchased on the DNC network. I purchased Technopoint at DNC for 8990 rubles, which is 1000 less than at DNC.

The smartphone and accessories are in such a not very attractive, IMHO, box.

Let's open it. Inside is the phone itself, branded headphones, a USB cable and an adapter for charging from an outlet. There is also a warranty booklet and a quick guide (super short!).

About the good.

Dimensions. After the last phone, the new one seemed simply gigantic! And now that I’m used to it, I can say that the size is very comfortable. The smartphone fits comfortably in my hand, and I can almost operate it with one hand (with my short fingers, ahah). Lightweight, your hand doesn’t get tired at all when talking.

Design. In my opinion, the designers did their best - it’s nice to look at the smartphone. It is elegant, round, the inscriptions are in place, unusual speakers, buttons and connectors are conveniently located (I got used to it quickly), the back cover is made to look like metal. Good in both colors presented.

Screen. 5 inches. Big, bright! The touchscreen is responsive and thinks quickly. There are no complaints here at all. Everything is great!

An important feature is that the buttons are located on the display itself, and not under it. But it turned out to be convenient, I got used to it quickly.

It’s comfortable to watch movies on this screen - the smartphone has really helped relieve boredom on the road.

CPU. 4 cores at 1.3 GHz - excellent for this price category. I don’t play “heavy” games, but all my simple applications just fly, the phone doesn’t slow down! But I read that the phone will not disappoint players either - graphics, etc. on high. 5+!

Operating system. Android. I've been using this OS before, so there are no difficulties - everything is intuitive. It’s a little annoying to have a lot of unnecessary pre-installed applications, and in order to clean everything and make it your own, you need to root the phone (I’m afraid to do this myself, and I don’t want to void the warranty).

Memory. Excellent, great - both the RAM and the built-in one. Of the 16 GB, about 10 GB are free. I inserted a 16 GB memory card - and I’m happy.

Communication, Internet, navigation. Doesn't let you down! I call without any problem. Receives 3G wonderfully and quickly connects to Wi-Fi. Everything is OK with GPS too. Amazing overall.

Camera. The most interesting thing: Both are 8 MP, but the rear has autofocus, but the front does not. Both have several modes.

Selfie camera I really like it, 98% of the photos turn out well, even in poor lighting. There is no flash, but there is a mode " Volumetric lighting", where the camera display shrinks and a white frame appears around it, which illuminates the face.

My favorite mode" Bright magic" - the photos turn out to be contrasty and bright, although imperfections, for example, skin, become more obvious. A " Embellishment“It smoothes out my face very unnaturally, so I don’t use it much.

Main camera It looks good, but there will be a lot of bad photos. You need to adapt to it, learn to “catch the focus” - and then you can be amazed at the resulting photographs. It takes pictures very well only in decent lighting and without movement.

Zooming in greatly degrades the quality of the photo.

Photo in the dark, “normal” mode.

In short, the camera is not suitable for high-quality photographs, but to capture some moments and share photos on social media. networks - please.

Flaws.

  • The included headphones are terrible. They are very uncomfortable and after a couple of minutes of use your ears start to hurt. But they have a very good flexible cable, a microphone and a button, but what’s the point? It is impossible to use them.

  • The USB cable is short and inflexible and cannot be straightened out. When charging, you literally sit near the outlet. I tried to charge it with a charger from an old phone - the charge stays where it is because... Insufficient current.
  • On the 4th day after purchase, I noticed that the plug into the micro-USB connector was not inserted completely all the way, and was also moving back and forth. It seems that this was not the case initially, and I have no idea where it came from, because I used it carefully. One of the most annoying moments!
  • Thin back cover. Until I got used to opening it, I thought I would definitely break it. In the photo I show how it bends. In some places, creaks can be traced, although weak.

  • Even when surfing the Internet, it can get slightly warm.
  • Afraid of the cold! In cold weather it discharges quickly, signaling that the battery is very cold. In especially severe cases - up to 0 and, accordingly, switching off (I had this happen when it was lying in a bag in the snow while I was at the skating rink - I was afraid of breaking it). When warmed up or connected to charging, the charge returns.
  • I would like a larger battery. I charge once a day with intermittent use of 3G and Wi-Fi.

  • Sometimes the camera does not turn on - it gives an error. Rebooting helps. I think something is “losing” there.

I'm very glad I chose this phone. I've been using it for a month. And in this short period of time I managed to get used to it, fall in love with my handsome boy, and get used to his shortcomings. It is always there, always helps out, and also fully corresponds to its price, and even surpasses many more expensive models.

P.S. If you have questions, ask - don't hesitate. I will help as much as I can.

Thank you for your attention.

Introduction

At the end of last year, Acer began selling several inexpensive smartphones, including the Liquid Z530. At the time of release, the price was about 11,000 rubles, but now it can be found from 9,000 rubles.

The gadget is notable for the fact that it is equipped with a 5-inch IPS screen and its resolution is 720x1280 pixels, that is, HD. Unfortunately, at the moment almost all A-brands offer lower resolution for the same amount. The Z530 also has 2 gigabytes of RAM, which is very good for such a device. Features include a front camera with wide-angle optics and DTS Studio Sound music effects.

Design, dimensions, control elements

The smartphone is made in a traditional Acer design: the rounded shape of the body, the main speaker, camera and polyphonic speaker are designed in the form of rings, and the speaker on the back side and the camera have the same diameters.

The screen is protected by glass. The manufacturer does not indicate which glass specifically. There is an oleophobic coating and it is relatively effective. During testing there was not a single scratch left on the screen.

The side edge is decorated with a thin chrome insert that curves slightly towards the edges: somewhat reminiscent of some phones Sony Xperia Arc type.

The device has only two colors: white and black. During our review, the Z530 turned out to be in the dark. All body elements are plastic. The back cover is made to look like metal with miniature longitudinal grooves, but the panel is still smooth and slippery to the touch.

The phone overall is compact, 144 x 70.3 x 8.9 mm, and lightweight, 145 grams, but if the developers shortened the distance from the bottom of the device to the screen, it would be great. It fits well in the hand due to the sloping edges and oval shape of the body.

On the top of the front side there are: an indicator of missed events, a speech speaker (loud, the interlocutor can be heard perfectly, intelligibility is “five”), light and proximity sensors, a camera for selfies.

Below the screen is the inscription “ACER”, the buttons are touch sensitive.

The microUSB connector and microphone are on the bottom, on top there is a 3.5 mm audio output and a phone power button (slightly protrudes from the body, the pressure is soft, the travel is small).

On the right is the volume rocker key, on the left there are no elements.

On the reverse side: camera eye, flash, noise-canceling microphone, speaker speakerphone, covered with black mesh.

The cover is removable, under it you will find two slots for micro SIM cards and a card slot microSD memory. The battery is also removable.

There are no complaints about the assembly, but the central area of the back side is slightly pressed down to the battery.

Display

This device uses a screen with a diagonal of 5 inches. Physical size – 62x111 mm, frame on top – 14 mm, bottom – 18 mm, on the right and left – approximately 3.5 mm. There is an anti-reflective coating.

The display resolution of the Acer Liquid Z530 is HD, that is, 720x1280 pixels, density is 293 pixels per inch. IPS OGS matrix. For a 5-inch diagonal, the resolution is quite normal, pixelation is almost unnoticeable, the picture is clear.

The maximum brightness of white color is 285 cd/m2, the minimum brightness of white color is 35 cd/m2, the maximum brightness of black color is 0.46 cd/m2, the minimum brightness of black color is 0.06 cd/m2. Contrast – 640:1.

The viewing angles are maximum, but when tilted, the screen becomes very violet and yellowish.

Battery

This model uses a removable lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with a capacity of 2420 mAh. The manufacturer does not provide data on autonomy.

The operating time of the gadget is exactly the same as any other budget Android smartphone with a similar battery, i.e. it “lives” for about 7-8 hours in a relatively active mode with a connection to 3G or 4G: 20-30 minutes of talking, about an hour of using the camera, the same amount of video watching, 3-4 hours on Twitter and mail. If you want to play, expect about an hour at full brightness and full volume output to the speaker.

From staff network adapter The battery charges in 3 hours, from a USB PC - in 4-4.5 hours.

Communication capabilities

This section could have been skipped. There is nothing interesting in it: two SIM cards, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS (works well, sensitivity is good). The only point is that the device understands the fourth generation 4G LTE network with frequencies of 800/1800/2100/2600 MHz. What 9,000 - 10,000 rubles is very welcome.

Memory and memory card

Inside there is 2 GB of RAM. For an inexpensive device, this amount of RAM is a good result.

Built-in memory 16 GB. About 9 GB available. Apparently they ate a lot installed programs and shell. Of course, microSD memory cards are supported, the maximum capacity is 32 GB.

Camera

There are two modules here, in fact, like in almost any other similar smartphone: the main one (with autofocus, F2.0 aperture) and the front one (F2.4 aperture, wide angle) of 8 MP.

I don’t remember that the cameras installed in devices from Acer have ever taken decent pictures. Alas, in this case, the module used does not produce stunning results: good shots are obtained from time to time. The Z530 takes macro and portrait photos best, but landscapes are worse. The main problem is blurry pictures. By the way, this is not the first time I have encountered a similar phenomenon in smartphones. It seems that the lens cannot focus on distant objects.

The device records FullHD video at 30 fps during the day and 16 fps in the evening. The quality is so-so, the focusing is still there.

The front camera, as I said, has the same number of megapixels as the main one. There is no autofocus, but the angle is wide: at arm's length, many objects can fit into the frame. The quality is average, objects in the distance are poorly rendered. Videos are recorded in FullHD resolution.

The camera interface was equipped with separate focusing and exposure point selection. In the settings you can select one of the effects: HDR, panorama, smile shot, photo with sound, presentation and others. The choice was pleasantly surprising. However, when the camera shoots poorly, the meaning of all the effects is lost. There is slow motion for video. For front camera there is backlighting, it is carried out in the same way as in LG devices and other gadgets: a preview window with your face remains in the center, and the rest of the field is filled with white.

Performance and Software Platform

The device runs on the Taiwanese MediaTek MT6735 chipset. This is a 64-bit SoC that contains 4 ARM Cortex-53 cores, 28 nm process technology, each clocked at up to 1.5 GHz. The graphics used are Mali T-720 with support for Open GL ES 3.0 and Open CL 1.2 API. Philips V526, Blackview Alife P1 Pro, Highscreen Power Five and many others operate on the same hardware.

When the processor is loaded, the case practically does not heat up.

The interface functions very quickly without any lags or slowdowns. With games, the situation is typical: everything starts, but some complex games may slow down. There are no problems with simple ones.

Performance tests

The Acer Liquid Z530 smartphone runs on the Google operating system Android versions 5.1. You shouldn't wait for an update to "six". There is a branded shell.

Based on Android OS v5.1 (Lollipop), the new all-in-one form factor from Acer deserves special attention. Smartphone Liquid Z530 It has a good design with a screen the size of which reaches up to 5 inches. Frame Acer liquid z530 Made of plastic, it goes on sale in two colors: white and black. Such strict compliance does not mean its non-competitiveness, since when comparing it with other similar models - Acer Liquid M330, Acer Liquid Z630, etc., it is worth noting first of all its small size and good hardware - a quad-core processor. The proposed optimal price of a smartphone also works, allowing it to be classified as a budget model with approximately the same performance.

The basic standard of the device is fully met - SIM card, modern type Quad-core 1.3 GHz processor on the Mediatek MT6735 chipset with 2 GB of RAM and good information reading speed. The capacitive touch display has an excellent resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, with a difference of sixteen colors. The built-in 8 GB memory is quite sufficient for storing video and photo material shot with two 8 MP cameras: with autofocus and LED flash, and a simple front one. Scene selection, panoramic or micro photography, face recognition and self-timer - all this accompanies the operation of the main camera of the smartphone. Thus, it completely replaces an additional bulky camera, and is not inferior in quality to its competitor. Thirty frames per second - not everyone can be pleased with such characteristics mobile device. And although the device’s GPU has only two cores, its clock speed reaches six hundred megahertz. But here, as in most modern smartphones, memory expansion is provided through microSD of 32 GB in order to store a larger volume of selfie shots. In this case, you should also take into account the ability of the front camera to shoot a panorama within a radius of up to 88 degrees.

The presence of headphone jacks and powerful speakers allows the owner to listen to his favorite music not only recorded, but also broadcast on the radio.

There is also the possibility of a wireless connection to the Internet - Bluetooth v4.0 technology, type A2DP, is synchronized. Moreover, 3G Internet in HSPA or LTE modes is being considered. Wi-Fi with GPS is also possible, helping to accurately determine not only your location in real time, but also find the necessary objects. In this case, an important role is played by large capacity battery – 2420 mA/h, which helps the owner not to think about recharging in the next 12 hours, even with active use of the gadget.

The biggest headache for smartphone manufacturers is creating a high-quality middle-class device at an adequate price. Acer has also taken on this difficult task. The Liquid Z series model is not even in the middle, but closer to the “pre-headliners”; only the 630 and 630 S are older than the currently announced Z-s.

Equipment

The packaging of the device is made of fairly thin cardboard, the protective qualities of which raise some doubts. If you squeeze the box at the ends, the cardboard is dented and light dents remain on the packaging. It is unlikely that such a box can prevent serious damage under heavy weight, but the packaging reliably protects against moisture, dust and light weight loads.

In the box, under the lid itself, there is a device on a folding tablet. Under the “pedestal” there is a micro-usb cable, Charger and a wired headset. Each of the accessories is packaged in an individual matte bag - an optional thing, but pleasant: it is not necessary to unpack all the accessories at once.

Appearance

The gadget is made of plastic; the body has several chrome-plated parts: a edging on the side of the phone, as well as the edging of the main camera, microphone and speaker. Frankly speaking, the plastic of the device does not look reliable, despite the stylization of the back cover to look like metal. The “quality” of the plastic is especially obvious in the absence of a battery: the lid bends with a simple touch.

The device is made in the form of a rectangle quite strongly rounded at the edges. The USB port is located in the curved area, but this does not prevent you from easily inserting the cable without any effort. The screen of the gadget is covered with glass, protecting it from minor scratches.

The phone fits quite comfortably in a medium-sized hand; the fingers are long enough to reach all the necessary buttons without resorting to the help of a second hand. The volume control buttons of the device are located on the right side, adjustment is carried out with the index and middle fingers of the left hand or the thumb of the right hand. The power off and lock button is located on the top back side. From general comments, we can note that it is quite easy to press the power button. The body of the button extends approximately 0.5 mm beyond the body, which can cause the device to be accidentally pressed and turned on in the owners’ pockets.

At the bottom of the cover there is a small recess for a fingernail, which should supposedly make it easier to remove the back panel. It really helps to pick up the lid, but then you literally have to break out the panel, constantly wondering whether the plastic will break or whether it will hold up.

Under the cover there are two micro-SIM slots, one of which is combined with a memory card slot. SIM cards and memory cards are blocked by the battery; changing the SIM card without turning off and rebooting the device will not work.

Another controversial point is the rather large round conversational and main speakers. On the one hand, the device is capable of reproducing fairly clear and loud sound for music, videos and games, on the other hand, getting a significant amount of moisture into the holes, for example, due to rain, can lead to breakdown.

Display

It's quite strange that in technical specifications so little is said about the display - one of the strongest points of this device. The smartphone is not equipped with a newfangled 4K display, but the IPS OGS matrix and LCD HD display (1280x720) are a good solution for a mid-class phone. The diagonal of the device is stated to be 5 inches, in fact the screen dimensions are 62*111 mm.

The screen showed excellent results in terms of viewing angles and brightness; there are no complaints about the Z530. Adaptive brightness works at a good speed, adjusting to indoor and outdoor lighting, but the maximum and minimum values can only be set manually.

The screen has a lot of glare, especially in artificial light. This problem can be solved by purchasing an additional protective glass or film with anti-reflective properties. A nice feature of the gadget is the Bluelight Shield mode. The mode significantly reduces the intensity of the blue gamma, which allows you to relieve the eyes as much as possible.

Iron

The device is equipped with a MediaTek MT6735 processor, with four ARM Cortex-53 cores, frequency 1.3 GHz. The graphics subsystem of the device is represented by Mali T-720. Many modern mid-price devices operate on similar hardware. The heating of the device can be safely called minimal, especially when compared with leading popular models from other companies. Heating is only felt during charging, using navigation and in heavy 3D games.

The speed of operation does not cause any complaints; the hardware runs almost all modern games. During testing, the device showed an immediate response from the system; there were no slowdowns or freezes during everyday use.

Software

The model is equipped with Android 5.1 with a proprietary launcher from Acer. The device supports over-the-air updates, the main thing is that the phone is charged above 50-60% at the time of the update.

Acer offers several proprietary applications and features. The Z530 comes with support for Quick Touch gesture control. Gestures cannot be changed; the only thing available to the user is to decide whether he will enable the gesture control option or not. To use gestures, you need to draw the corresponding figure on the turned off smartphone screen: I – unlock, V – call, C – camera, Swipe left – Acer information page, Z – music. For fans of high-quality photographs from additional functions Noteworthy is LumiFlex, which improves the quality of display of images in the gallery. Another feature of the gadget is the parental control mode.

An interesting feature of the Z530 is the floating apps option. In parallel with your main work, you can enable a floating calendar, notes and a calculator, which can be used “on top” of regular programs.

Communications and multimedia

Z530 supports the main popular communication protocols, including LTE. GPS navigation works quite quickly; using maps you can build the necessary route in less than a minute.

The telephone module works perfectly, the interlocutor can be heard clearly, without distortion. You can also hear it quite clearly through the headset, but you can hardly hope that the included headphones will last long.

The Liquid Z530's main speaker produces powerful sound, but at maximum volume there is some wheezing.

Battery

The device has a removable 2420 mAh battery. You shouldn’t expect anything special from such a battery, especially coupled with a fairly powerful processor. In terms of operating time, the device demonstrates average performance: in no-load mode the phone lasted a little less than a day, in medium load mode it lasted 6-8 hours. Shooting a video, a moderate 3D game, and a movie drained the phone from 100% to complete shutdown in 3 hours.
