“Always ready for a trip to the store!”: shopping lists for iPhone. New applications for iPhone and iPad that pleasantly surprised us How to delete all reminders at once

Want to delete a reminder from your iPhone or iPad? Well, there is nothing complicated about it. Reminders is one of the most used stock iOS apps. In it you can make to-do lists, shopping lists, leave yourself important reminders, etc. Usually, after completing a task, users simply mark it as completed, but this does not remove the reminder from memory. You can view the entire list of completed reminders stored on your device at any time.

Below we'll show you how to completely remove reminders from your device instead of just marking them as completed.

How to delete a reminder with a gesture

The easiest and fastest way to delete a reminder from your iPhone or iPad is with a gesture.

3) Swipe left on the reminder you want to delete.

4) Click the red Delete button.

5) Repeat the process with all the reminders you want to delete.

In this way, you can delete some reminders, repeating the process again each time. This method is quite simple and fast, and you will get used to it right away, but there are other options.

How delete reminder buttons

1) Open the Reminders app.

2) Select the list containing the reminder you want to delete.

3) Click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the screen.

4) Tap the red minus (-) icon next to the reminder you want to delete.

5) Confirm your action by clicking the Delete button.

6) Repeat the process.

In edit mode, you can also delete reminders quite quickly, but it is still longer and more inconvenient than using a gesture.

How to delete all reminders at once?

If you want to delete all reminders, the easiest way is to delete the entire list. This will also delete all reminders that were stored in it. You can also find a reminder through search and then delete it.

Perhaps, many people, when going to the store, have a question about how not to forget to buy everything you need, and at the same time not to accumulate extra goods. To be on the safe side, we write lists for ourselves on pieces of paper, and then carefully check them in the store. But it often happens that we forget to write something down or we have nothing to cross off already purchased goods, and then it becomes not so easy to navigate the long list.

Fortunately, developers have created many applications for smartphones that allow you to record the necessary purchases. These programs, running on Android and iOS platforms, relieve us of the need to keep everything in our heads. In addition, they do not allow us to lose sight of this or that product, because all of them are already included in the phone’s database, and we just have to select the ones we need.

Buy a loaf!

Requirements: Android 1.7.2 and higher, 2.7mb / iOS 7.0 and higher, 6.9 mb

“Buy a loaf!” - convenient and easy-to-use shopping list with a beautiful interface. The application allows you to manually enter a list of products and their quantity, automatically groups items in the list, and has a built-in dictionary by product.

The paid version of the program offers cloud synchronization of lists between devices, which allows you to maintain lists with other people in real time. The application can create several lists and send them by mail and sms, print or duplicate.

Additionally, you can install a free widget.

OI Shopping list

Requirements: Android 1.6 and above, 1mb

Ol Shopping List is the simplest shopping list, which is why many users love it. In the application, you can create several lists, dividing products into thematic groups or stores. Each element can be given labels with which items in the list will be sorted, units of measurement, quantity, price can be specified, priority can be assigned, and a note of arbitrary length can be added.

The application does not provide synchronization, but any of the lists can be sent to another person, for example, by email or SMS. The program has three built-in design themes, many settings for sorting lists and other nice little things.

Shopping list: Bread!

Requirements: Android 1.6 and higher, 471 kb / iOS 5.0 and higher, 2.1 mb

This simple and convenient application allows you to quickly and easily create a shopping list. Particularly important purchases can be highlighted from the general list with a marker, and purchases can be crossed off with one touch. The program has built-in voice dialing and functionality for reading barcodes (for it to work, you need to additionally install Barcode Scanner).

You can create separate shopping lists for different stores, send lists to other phones and make backups. The application does not load the phone at all, does not slow down and loads quickly. In the paid version it is possible to install the widget on your desktop.

buy me

Requirements: iOS 6.0 and higher, 25 mb

The application is noticeably different from its counterparts with a bright interface. The shopping list in it is easy to create and edit. The program already has its own database of all existing products, and when adding positions, it automatically substitutes the necessary words and loads existing beautiful pictures of the products, which help to recognize the item at first glance.

Purchased items are marked, dimmed, and moved to the end of the list. The shopping list is completely cleared by dragging it down. The application provides synchronization via ICloud.

Shopping: Listick

Requirements: Android 2.2 and higher, 2.7 mb / iOS 4.3 and higher, 25.3 mb

The Shopping app makes shopping easy, fast and enjoyable. It allows you to create an unlimited number of lists and templates. The program already has a built-in product database, and based on the first letters entered, it will offer options for names, add them to the list and automatically determine the category.

In addition to creating a shopping list in the application, you can keep track of your expenses by dates and product categories. The created lists are synced in real time in the cloud and are available on all your devices and on the application website.

For quick access to the application, you can add a widget to your smartphone desktop. In addition, the program has several types of sorting, marking the most important items, voice input, several types of design, and also allows you to cross out purchased items in one motion, creates a list from an incoming SMS and sends ready-made lists by email and SMS.

I usually write about photography, music, and communication apps, but today we'll talk about shopping trips. And, to be more precise, about shopping lists.

I’ll say right away that until recently, this topic was alien to me. Usually, when “raiding” stores of various types, I did without such lists, because I remembered the “needs” that were missing from the household, and bought everything else based on my immediate needs, desires or ideas. By and large, I decided what to buy right in the store. This purchasing option didn’t bother me in the slightest, since I know well what a budget is and won’t buy anything unnecessary. And I usually don’t buy much at a time, preferring to go to the store every day and buy just enough for one time. This is a long-term habit of pseudo-fresh product.

But it so happened that for the last 2 months, I was severely limited in movement, so I remembered a long-forgotten method of shopping - ordering through online stores. But here, whatever one may say, buying little by little and often is inconvenient and not profitable. That’s when shopping lists, planning ahead and e.t.c., e.t.c., e.t.c., came to me...

As a result, after 5-6 weeks of training, I developed a certain habit. This is probably why, while looking through the sales on AppZapp, my eyes settled on Shopping To-Do Pro.

What I noticed interesting about it:

  1. It’s simple and convenient to create shopping lists that are clearly displayed on the program desktop, showing the first items on the list.
  2. Possibility of calculating the planned purchase. You can set the cost of an item per piece/kg, including an incomplete unit (0.5 kg or something similar), immediately receiving the cost of a specific purchase, as well as the total amount of the entire list. For a paper worm like me, accustomed to a planned economy, this is a huge plus of the application. And I’ll also note that the list has not only a total, but also a subtotal.
  3. When one of the items is purchased, we remove it from the list by checking the box. At the same time, a pencil flies out with a cute animation and crosses out the position. And the subtotal becomes less by the purchase amount. Again, a plus for clarity from lovers of the language of numbers.
  4. Availability of reminder function. Something also from the category of planning. You can set the exact day + time, and the application will remind you of itself with a pop-up window and sound. For me, this function is practically useless, but having reminders is never superfluous.
  5. Well, the last plus is simply great design. Successful stylization of a shabby notebook, nice animation. All together causes (for me) a subconscious pleasure from working with this application.

But there is also something that upsets me:

  1. Lack of any synchronization. This is very bad. This way, I can't put the app on two (or more) different devices and coordinate my purchases with one of my family or friends. There is not even a basic option to send the list by email. A kind of application in itself, for a very lonely person or misanthrope. Although a closed user would probably like to be able to synchronize at least with his computer.
  2. There are absolutely no settings. Looking into the setting you will find only a small window for entering tax. In our penates the thing is useless.

That's all. At the moment, the application is distributed free of charge, but during normal periods its price is only $0.99.

However, having decided to look for something alternative to Shopping To-Do Pro, I looked through several paid and free applications and I liked ShopShop - Shopping List

What's good about it:

  1. Unlike Shopping To-Do, in ShopShop we have good synchronization capabilities: via dropbox, as well as sending the list by email and sms. Plus, the list can be sent to a printer. And what’s convenient: if some items have already been “crossed off the list”, in the sent message there will be “checkmarks” opposite them.
  2. Purchased items are crossed out with a finger movement or tap. After which they can be cleared from the list by shaking the iPhone (set in the settings)
  3. Decent settings for such an application (again in reproach to Shopping To-Do), where you can set auto-locking, enable/disable synchronization, font size, number of saved entries and other minor needs.
  4. Shopping lists are implemented as iPhone desktops, scrollable in the traditional way for the device. Each list can be given a personal name and color.
  5. Availability of Russian version

Well, now a little about the disadvantages of the application:

  1. There is no possibility to enter a price for a position, and therefore there is no amount. So the list is just a regular list, without costing.
  2. The design is office, flat, boring. Although everything is organized clearly, simply and conveniently, I find it somehow sad to use it.

I have compared two shopping list apps. In fact, there are dozens of such applications. Some (such as “Buy a loaf” and “Go shopping”) have been written and talked about a lot. We all (including me) still don’t know about some. But even judging by these two, we see a variety of functionality and appearance, a choice for every taste. At the same time, there is imperfection in both.

Well, as always, the choice is yours.

Every iPhone comes with Reminders and the virtual assistant Siri (starting with the 4s), two incredibly useful tools that get even better when they work together. Shopping lists are the most simple and everyday routine that we all encounter. iPhone owners are luckier than others because Reminders and Siri can make shopping a lot easier. In this post I will tell and show you how you can implement this.

How to create a shopping list in Reminders and add products to it using Siri

Open Reminders on your iPhone or iPad. Click + at the top of the screen to create a new list.

Give your list a name and choose a title color, then click Ready.

Press and hold the button Home to call Siri. Say something like “Add milk to my shopping list” (or any other product, but of course, in English).

Click the button Confirm or just tell me Okay.

That's all you need to do to add a new item to the list. Agree, this is much faster than taking your iPhone out of your pocket, unlocking it, opening Reminders and manually entering the product name. Yes, there is a disadvantage in the form of using only English if you are not “friends” with it. Let's hope that this will change soon and Siri will speak Russian, or rather you speak English :)

How to share a list with other users

Open iCloud in any browser and log in to your Apple ID.

Click on the Reminders icon and open them.

Click on the sharing icon opposite the list that we want to share, in our case this is the Shopping list.

This is all. The user will receive your invitation and immediately after confirmation a new list will appear in their reminders. These simple techniques can make your daily shopping routine easier.
